CAR CAMPING INFO, RULES & MORE

  • What to Expect
    • Sites are 10’×30′
    • Sites REQUIRE one [1] car parked in each site.
    • Sites can only have one [1] car parked in each site.
    • You can have as many people camp in your site as you can comfortably fit.
      • Yes, share a camp site.
    • Everyone camping requires an event pass.
    • All campers and vehicles will be searched upon entry.
    • Check back closer to event dates for any additional info & updates.
  • Up Front Car Camping

    Just like Car Camping, but you can arrive at your leisure and have a guaranteed spot in the closest car camping rows to the venue.

  • Times / Checking In & Out
    • Camping is open Friday 12pm - Mon 9am.
      • Three nights stay!
    • Car Camping Check-in
      • Friday 12pm - 12am
      • Saturday 9am - 9pm
      • Sunday 9am - 3pm
    • Pedestrian campers check-in is open 24hrs.
      • Enter / Drop off through Lot 2A
      • This is for joining your friends who already have a campsite or visiting friends that have a campsite.
    • Campground check-out is 9am. Monday morning.
      • After 9am, any items left behind in the campgrounds will be donated to our local nonprofit partner.
    • Campers and vehicles are searched at check-in.
    • Noise curfew starts at 1:30am.

  • Allowed / Not Allowed Vehicle Types
    • NO RV/Motorhome camping.
      • Passenger cars, trucks or vans only.
    • NO motorcycles, RVs, trailers, motorhomes, buses or U-Haul trucks.
    • NO vehicles with running water and/or toilet. This means your vehicle:
      • Does not have a Toilet in it, regardless of working order.
      • Does not have running water. No water that runs. Empty water tank.
    • NO cooking inside vehicles. (Seriously - for the safety of you and those around you, DO NOT cook inside a vehicle!)
    • If you have a pre-installed, factory stove in your vehicle, your vehicle is allowed, however DO NOT cook inside the vehicle.
    • Everything else is allowed if it fits in your spot.
    • Are you sharing a spot with someone driving separately to join you? Additional vehicles must purchase Camping Companion Parking.
    • For the safety of you and your neighbors, once you are parked in a camping spot, you may not move your vehicle for the duration of the festival. If you need to leave early and do not plan on returning to the festival, please visit the nearest Info Kiosk to inquire about an early vehicle escort. If your request can be accommodated, an escort may take up to two hours from the original request time. Vehicles may not exit between 9pm-2am FRI-SUN (daily). Once a vehicle vacates its spot, the site is considered relinquished. Any items remaining in the campsite will be considered trash and permanently disposed of.

  • Vehicle Lockdown
    • No vehicle ins/outs.
    • No vehicle exit during lockdown hours:
      • Saturday 10pm - 2am
      • Sunday 10pm - 1am.
    • Vehicle lockdown hours may change depending on traffic conditions. Please be prepared to wait.
    • If you must leave camping before 2am on Sunday night, you need to depart before 10pm.
  • Arrive Together to Camp Together

    Powered, Preferred and Preferred Front Row Car Camping

    • Multiple cars wishing to camp in sites next to each other must arrive at the same time.
    • You should plan on meeting up prior to driving into camping at the same time.
    • If you don’t check-in together, you won’t be able to camp next to each other. There are no saving spots.
    • It's essential your entire group drives into the toll booth/search area together.
    • As your cars proceed through search, you can continue into a limited-time waiting area.
    • Once your entire group arrives in the waiting area, you may proceed to the lanes to enter the camping lots.
    • Camping staff will try their best to accommodate directing your group to an appropriate location. Let them know how many cars are part of your group.
    • You must all have the same type of camp spot to try to get placed next to each other.
  • Misc / Good to Know
    • Camping is only allowed in designated camping areas.
      • In order to accommodate all campers, you must camp where assigned.
      • Attempting to camp anywhere else creates a significant disruption that negatively impacts everyone's comfort and safety.
      • All of your items must stay within the marked lines.
    • Do not sleep in or allow any items to extend into the fire lanes.
    • All campers are expected to behave in a manner that is courteous to other campers.

    • Venue/promoter are not responsible for any materials misplaced, lost or stolen.
    • It is recommended that you do not bring valuable items. If you do bring valuable items, please lock them in your car. Do not leave valuable items in your tent.
    • High winds and heavy dust are common in the Coachella Valley.
      • Prepare your campsite by sealing, securing or collapsing any structures or items that may be affected.
    • We do not have communal toasters, toaster ovens or microwaves for use in camping.
  • Food / Drinks
    • Campers may bring food & beverages.
    • No glass allowed. Review prohibited items below.
    • Campers 21+ may bring 1 case of beer cans or a box of wine.
    • If it appears that there is an excessive amount of alcohol for the number of people in the vehicle, or if anyone in the vehicle is under 21 years of age, we reserve the right to deny entry of the vehicle or require you to surrender the alcohol.
    • Propane stoves are allowed in Car Camping.
    • Free Supermarket Shuttles will be going to/from camping to a nearby grocery store.
      • Check back closer to event dates for hours.
    • There is a General Store in camping with lots of the basics.
      • Ice sales will be available.
    • There will be some Food Vendors.
  • Camping Prohibited Items

    NO Amplified Sound (Large Speakers, DJ Equipment, Non Factory installed Car Audio)
    NO Animals (Service Animals Are Allowed - See Accessibility)
    NO Branded Pop-Up Canopies or Tents
    NO Compressed Gas Tanks (Helium, Nitrous (haha), etc.)
    NO Drones or Remote-Control Vehicles or Toys
    NO Drugs or Drug Paraphernalia
    NO Extra Car Batteries
    NO Flammables (Incl. Fireworks, Explosives, Ammunition)
    NO Flashlights Over 5.5” In Length
    NO Furniture (Sofas, Couches, Recliners, Lay-Z-Boys, Home Furnishings, Non-Inflatable Mattresses - LEAVE NO TRACE)
    NO Generators (Gas)
    NO Glass Of Any Kind (Bottles, Large Mirrors, Containers, Solar Panels, Lights, etc.)
    NO Heating Appliances
    NO Kegs
    NO Metal Tent Stakes
    NO Open Flames (Campfires, Candles, Tiki Torches)
    NO Prescription Medication (must be in properly labeled containers that match the holder’s ID. No pillboxes.)
    NO Propane (Propane stoves allowed in Car Camping only. Review FAQ about cooking)

    NO Personal Vehicles (Skates, Scooters, Skateboards, Hoverboards, Segways, Electric Scooters (Birds, Limes…))

    NO Vending (Inventory will be considered surrendered and not returned.)

    NO Weapons - Guns, Ammo, Tasers, Pepper Spray/Mace, Knives (incl. Cooking or Steak Knives)... INCLUDES ALL OFF-DUTY LAW ENFORCEMENT OR CONCEALED PERMITS

    NO Wrapped or Sponsored Vehicles. (Your vehicle will be turned away if it has ads, marketing, sponsors or company logos on it. Rental company logos are permitted.)
